What does this wet bulb globe temperature instrument measure?
It measures black-globe temperature, ambient temperature, relative humidity and WBGT, and also displays time.
Can the YGH6257 be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes. It has separate indoor and outdoor WBGT modes. The product is not waterproof, so outdoor placement must protect it from rain and direct water exposure.
WBGT vs heat index: what is the difference?
Heat index uses air temperature and relative humidity. WBGT also accounts for radiant heat through black-globe measurement. They are different heat-risk indicators and should not be treated as directly interchangeable.
Is the WBGT alarm threshold adjustable?
Yes. The alarm threshold can be adjusted from 20°C to 50°C in 0.1°C steps, with high, low and mute volume settings.
Are batteries included?
No. Two AAA batteries are required and are not included.
